Camping is so much fun and is always an adventure! We went camping last minute to Huguenot Park in September. Our camping spot was right on the beach and we could drive our car on the beach :) It was suppose to storm but we stayed pretty dry.......

We are still dry! |
So funny story: So when we we arrive we realized we grabbed our one season tent with no fly. Which is nice for the summer but not when it is suppose to rain. So we had a hammock cover and to help cover part of our tent, but if it started to rain we would get soaked. Well....about an hour after we finally got both kids to sleep it starts to rain, so I wake spencer up and at first he tries to pull the kids into the middle of the tent where the fly was covering us but we were still getting wet. So then we decide to sleep in the car. We put Finley in the trunk and have in the back seat in her bassinet and we were in the front seat. After getting everyone in the car, then rain stops, but I just want to to stay in the car incase the rain comes back. So now we are nice and dry but then the car started to get really warm so we cracked the windows. Ahhh finally I can get some shut eye before Haven wakes up to nurse......NOT then the mosquitos decide to come, buzzing right next to my ear, bitting my face, bitting the kids. So Spencer and I have a contest who can squish more. (hints the pictures) Then I see a HUGE spider right above my head and I drop the headlamp. Spencer is trying to kill it but can't see it. So scary. I grab the lamp and the spider falls right next to me, lucky spider finds him and squishes him. Then the head lamp goes out, so now we can't see the annoying mosquitos. So then we decide to move back to the tent. We get all settled in and get a couple hours sleep before morning.
